Saints Annual Camp 2017
Saints Annual Camp 2017
In 2017, Saints Sled Dog Rescue hosted its very first Saints Annual camp at Haxey Quays caravan park, Doncaster. Over the weekend the camp saw an array of group activities from a pack walk through the countryside to reenacting the moves for Y.M.C.A at Saturday evening’s quiz night. It is safe to say some of these party animals have some moves… Or so they thought. All bets were on with the Saints Club House’s at Sunday evenings game night, the odds were against some sore losers but brought fun and good spirit all the same to raise funds for the sled dogs.
We had a Vet talk on Saturday afternoon for anyone who needed help and advice on pets health and wellbeing, followed by a Q and A session with a kennel trainer/handler who demonstrated some training methods to the audience as well as gave advice for those who were experiencing behavioral issues with their own dogs.
At the Sunday dog show there was lots of competitive owners with their dogs trying to win over the judge. With over 15 categories we saw a afternoon filled with pooches of all shapes, sizes and breeds taking part.
Food was supplied for the whole weekend from breakfast each morning to Hog roast and BBQ on the evenings.
Over the weekend £500 of profits were raised which went to vet bills, vaccinations and support of the Sled Dogs in our rescue!
