At Saints we are all about those white, fluffy butts. However, occasionally we can't resist ourselves when another breed needs our help, we will ALWAYS step up to the challenge. This time, we were looking to help re-home a Happy-Staffy called Junior.
This is Junior the 14-year-young Staffordshire Bull terrier who was being advertised across social media for a new home. Unfortunately, his owners had a new arrival to the family which meant that they no longer had time for poor Junior who had been with them since 8 weeks old. It can sometimes be a little more difficult for older dogs to find new homes, often getting over looked due to their age people not always wanting to give them a chance. Well, Saints couldn't sit idly by why this poor boys like was about the be turned upside down and wanted to make sure this beautiful gentleman had the best chances at finding a happy home.
After days of sharing Junior's story, we finally found a loving family who wanted to adopt him to be a companion for their 14-year-young Staffordshire Bull terrier girl! It was truly meant to be.
Yesterday, Junior traveled across the country to his forever-family, ready for all the adventures to come. His adoptive Mummy picked him up part way and whisked him off to meet the family, Junior looking VERY happy about it indeed. As you can see from the photo's he has already made himself at home and settled in with his new sister Tess!
Saints would like to thank all those who shared Junior's posts to help him find his home and also to all the volunteers who helped transport Junior on the mammoth run from Scotland to Somerset!!
